Hey guys. With my new AE3000U coming, I need a good player for blu-ray and HD DVD. I have an old HD-A1 but it's only 720p and doesn't decode new audio formats at all.

Here's what I need:

-DTS-MA and Dolby TrueHD bitstream output for my Marantz SR8002
-1080p/24p video output
-HDMI 1.3 with deep color output (yah, i know it probably doesn't make a difference, but I still want the feature)

Is the LG BH200 the right player for me then? Does it support all of those features? I saw in the FYI that it does support bitstream but I really wanted to make sure with everyone here that it makes sense for me.

Thanks!

Im using the BH200 with the AEU2000U projector and its a match made in heaven.

not positive about deep color support, but I bitstream all codecs and view in 1080/24p.

My understanding is that we'll see Blu-ray discs that support deep color on approximately the 31st of NEVEmbeR.

Har har har!

I know it won't make a difference, but I still want it

The spec sheet seems to show that it does support it.

Just to clarify your HD-A1 is a 1080i player, not limited to 720p...old wives tale.

The BH200 does stretch 4:3 material on SD DVD so that is something to take into consideration if you have some older TV Series / Movies on SD DVD.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read it.
