Not my fav actually. A lot of jamming, and I know that's an AB staple, and a good thing some time...but some of this was a little unfocused. IMO, not as good as say Atlanta Pop Festival.

Original Sin came on Sirius the other day, and I was explaining to my wife about this album. How it was a real departure for INXS, and how I wouldn't really consider myself a fan, but that I love this album. I mean, they have some good enough songs...and Shabooh Shoobah is a decent effort, as far as a whole album goes. But you'd never heard anything from INXS, before or after, like The Swing.

That whole Stones period from "Goat Heads Soup" through "Some Girls" is probably my favorite. For me, it had my most favorite, but also, unfortunately, some of my least favorite stuff, because I didn't care too much for those "disco" songs they were occasionally throwing in there at the time (some were OK - like "Hot Stuff, which was basically Funk. I just didn't care for the falsetto singing (like "Miss You", "Daddy You're a Fool") and the blatant disco/dance thing (again, "Miss You").

But the amount of great ones far, far outweighed the bad. I think I liked a lot of it because it wasn't their most over-played, "classic" stuff, although to me it was every bit as good (and had more of a "modern", 70's production sound and writing style to it that still holds up well today).

I'm a Stones freak and love everything of theirs until they passed the age of 40. But I still love/loved their concerts after 40.

My favorite modern band is BJM.

Right after I posted, I punched in a "Joe Jackson" station on Slacker, and they played quite a few songs from those two albums. Was really enjoying it.

What a great, underrated band he had for those albums.

Yeah, now that I look, there was some great stuff up to that point that I still liked a lot, too. I forgot about all the great stuff on "Tattoo You" (I love the videos from the hits on that album - they're just so sloppy they're hilariously great - especially "Hang Fire", where Jagger turns around with his red, glassy eyes, and points at the wrong camera, and then swings around real fast to point at the right one. Missing cues and mouthing the wrong words left and right).

I was just checking some of their album's track listings out, and "It's Only Rock and Roll" also has a bunch of my favorites from that period on it (at least half the album).
