What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on? I bet you got little save pitiful, portable picnic players. Come with uncle and hear all proper! Hear angel trumpets and devil trombones. You are invited.

The free show no less. A few hours before the show we walked by the outdoor amphitheater and walked in
to check out seating. We sat down with the place to ourselves. Heard some rustling on stage and out walked
Chris Isaak in his gold suit. He waved said "Hi-Mind if I warm up the pipes?" He sang us at least 5 songs.

Later during the actual show ran into some friends and they asked how we were enjoying the show.
It was fine we said. The private show we had I will never forget.

Thanks. I've posted here before. But only occasionally. I have fairly eclectic tastes in music with a strong preference for jazz. The recording artist with the most albums in my collection is Oscar Peterson. I used to be an OP groupie, traveling to where I could go conveniently to hear him play live. I have about 60 of his recordings and thousands of jazz recordings overall.

I have almost everything in the classical genre - not every recording, of course, but at least one of most of the compositions. Thousands of recordings in that collection as well.

Blues would be next for me. I have perhaps 700 blues recordings. I'm a big fan of Kevin Moore better known as Keb' Mo'. I have all of his recordings and most of BB King's work.

I like country music but only that performed by a few throwback artists like Alan Jackson and Vince Gill. I like very little of the current stuff.

Latin music would be next. I love salsa and other Afro-Cuban genres in almost every form. I was raised in Cuba.

Then pop music and world music

Finally, Rock. It the smallest part of my collection. While I used to perform rock music professionally, I never enjoyed it like I enjoyed playing jazz or blues. I think my favorite gig of all time was with a fairly well known Dixieland jazz group. I think some of the older rock groups like Steely Dan and Dire Straits were quite innovative and I like their music. The current crop of rock groups don't do much for me. I don't care for singers that scream. I'm a geezer. Take care.

Still a great album.

“A great thunderstorm of sound gushed from the walls. Music bombarded him at such an immense volume that his bones were almost shaken from their tendons; he felt his jaw vibrate, his eyes wobble in his head. He was a victim of concussion.” ― Fahrenheit 451
