Bringing Hughes in (from Trapeze) added an element of funk that was more prominent on 'Stormbringer' (- isn't that the album that made Ritchie leave?) CTTB further explored the funkier, bluesier side of Purple. As much as I like the S/T, 'In Rock' and MH, 'Burn' and CTTB are my faves.
