GLEEP!
(Meant in the most respectful, if somewhat dazed, way!)

Explain a little. What kind of music do you listen to principally?

Did you not have access to music for a period of time?

You'll need to go about this in a reasoned manner to optimize your potential enjoyment.

I know I have spun lot's and lot's and lot's of music in my life but still find great stuff that is new to me.

Leave some info and instead of hit and miss I am sure the posters here can slowly offer you the best in what you may have missed.

Also, almost everything posted in this thread is available to listen to in some form on YouTube.

I've found more than a couple things that people have posted in this thread that I've never heard of, but seemed like it might be something I would like. After sampling on YouTube, I put my favorites on the list of things to look for during record stores visits. Or just buy the CD off Amazon.

There are ways to explore music new to you, Youtube having been already mentioned. Rdio and Spotify are a few more that stream on demand, Pandora is an excellent source when given parameters. I tend to listen to fairly obscure music, go through phases of genres and actually take time to research new (to me) older releases that I missed the first time around. Those mentioned are some valuable resources; this list provides some unexpected gems as well.

Good luck in your musical journey.

Thanks for the recommendation. I added it to my vTuner on my AVR and will definitely check it out. With so many internet radio choices, it's hard to know where to start.`

You're welcome!

Hope you enjoy because basically they don't follow any specific genre.

I'm already enjoying it! I love the variety. I usually listen to my 50 GB iTunes collection on random shuffle; everything from A to Z (Alternative to Zydeco)!
