fwiw, the younger workers at work play the same music as you (sword, wo fat, red fang ,truckfighters , sasquatch, dozer, clutch, Greenleaf , etc.) it kind of blows their mind when I mention an album you posted coming from an older rock and blues lover. its not very often I listen to this music at home .although I do own a few truckfighters,(gravity x and phi) sasquatch (debut and II AND III ) clutch(slow hole to china)and Greenleaf's (agents of ahriman) and enjoy them when I'm in that mood.
It's nice to hear someone likes the same kind of music I do. I can get my peers at work to go with me to concerts by bands like Rush, The Who, Yes, Tom Petty...etc, but when it comes to newer bands, I'm on my own. I always feel a bit uncomfortable being one of the oldest, if not oldest, person at concerts of these newer bands. But bands like The Sword and Fu Manchu put on a fantastic concert. It's the kind of hard rock I always wanted to hear in concert, but never was able to hear before.
"I realize that somebody playing free music isn't as commercial as a hamburger stand. But is it because you can eat a hamburger and hold it in your hand and you can't do that with music? Is it too free to control?" - Don Van Vliet (aka Captain Beefheart) discussing commercial success in the music biz
