Hey Waboman,

Makes me want to go put on the movie which I don't happen to have in my small collection, alas I also don't have a copy or your album...

I do however have The Original Sound track (CD): The Blues Brothers

And while I'm listening I think I'll slide on over to Amazon and see if they have the DVD

[Edit] Blu-ray on order

All the best to ya,

I saw them at the 2012 Guitar Geek festival in Anaheim. I gotta say that no videos I've seen can capture their on-stage charisma. They're a hoot to watch! My wife especially liked the "good looking" one!?!
Jealous. I'd love to see these guys live.

All the best to ya,
It's a classic movie with a great soundtrack. The BD has both the theatrical and extended cut.

We were in the second row, right in front of the QSC speaker tower. The sound was great that night and the tone of the guitars was awesome!

Picked this up while we were there:

The Guitar geek festival 2012:

The All-Harvey Band

Freddie Roulette

Joel Paterson, whom I spoke to after the show while I was picking up the Rickenbacker guitar we won in a raffle. We also picked up one of his albums.

Los Straitjackets

Dave Bunker, who patended the "Touch" guitar.

Nathan James (with his washboard guitar) and James Harman

Hellecasters. Their 10 year reunion:

Will Ray, Jerry Donahue, and John Jorgenson.

I talked to Jorgenson after the show. I had already purchased tickets for his John Jorgenson Quintet show, which was incredible. It's a Django/Gypsy Jazz tribute group. We sat dead center, with nobody between us and them.

Picked up this CD. Listening right now:

We missed Nokie Edwards (of The Ventures) the night before.

I got them all when I was learning to play guitar back in the mid-60's and 70's. Pipeline was the first song I ever played on guitar. I also have The Surfaris - Wipe Out Album.

Bought this one last year. It still has the instruction book glued between the covers. Didn't know it existed. Prolly woulda wore it out.

The Very Best of Brenda Holloway.

Brenda was shamefully under-appreciated. "When I'm Gone" is the best hit record of the last 50 years. Two minutes of pure bliss. What a talent!
