Street Corner Talking is one of my all-time favorite songs. Just great. Everything about it. But those guitar solos! That tone! I didn't mention it 'cause I can't find the album but I KNOW it's around here somewhere! Tell Mama. Wang Dang Doodle. Can't Get Next to You. Great stuff.
For some reason, while I was youtubing the above, Baby It's You by Smith came up. I loved this song so much I bought the 45 back when it came out in '69. I lent it to the keyboard player and never saw it again.
Then in '79 I just missed meeting her when we played a gig and they told me Smith was the band that played there before us! When it came out, I bought Tarantino's Grindhouse: Death Proof just so I could hear it again.
