Miles Davis
Sketches of Spain

What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on? I bet you got little save pitiful, portable picnic players. Come with uncle and hear all proper! Hear angel trumpets and devil trombones. You are invited.

It is the type/style of music that very rarely, if ever is listened to in my house, that's all.
And yes, it is a good listen. Forgot that I even had this one

Way cool. Never get caught in one type or era of music.

Always listen for new sounds.

This is a wonderful hobby, enjoy it completely and fully.

Probably my first classical album also, although I did like Pablo Casals on the cello with the Bach recordings at the time, not sure which came first. My music teacher in grade school was Mr von Holst, a nephew of the composer I believe. He made me leave the room when I sang. Not very musical myself apparently

My first vinyl version of The Planets was another Deutsche Grammophon recording, with Steinbewrg and the Boston Symphony Orchestra (inspired by Laserium shows).....this cover art:

My other vinyl version is Tomita's

This is the first classical record I ever bought. I got it in a small record store in Manchester NH in 1973-74.
