What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on? I bet you got little save pitiful, portable picnic players. Come with uncle and hear all proper! Hear angel trumpets and devil trombones. You are invited.

In 1967, when I was 14, I bought this LP, with allowance money for chores, and played it on the Magnavox console in the living room. When Mom came through the room, and saw the LP jacket, it was promptly taken off the stereo, and destroyed by mom, and thrown in the garbage.

Well, a few years later, I was working at the first McDonald's in town, and purchased gas, and LP's every payday. I never bought a replacement Vanilla Fudge LP.

One day I came home from work, and a replacement Vanilla Fudge LP was on the Magnavox. I thanked Mom.

way cool story

similar story here

When mom heard Jesus Christ Superstar she ordered my dad to confiscate it. Weeks... months later, the priest at church gave a sermon saying it was not derogatory about Jesus so I was then allowed to buy another copy.

Last night we had some people over and our guests asked what those glowing tubes were! I showed off our record player and tube amp with Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms - 'Money for Nothing'. They were blown away! Fun times and great music!
