Give it a shot and let me know what you think

2nd,

this too is a reference disc that flies way under most radars.

Do yourself a favor regardless of your favorite/preferred genre; this will impress anyone!

Without a doubt a reference recording.

Yep, one must own Pink Floyd. Hopefully, in 2017, we will get more SACD titles from this band.

The absolute best recordings I've heard on any format are the three SACDs put out by Ladysmith Black Mambazo. I own hundreds of Hi-Rez discs and they clearly stand out above anything else I've heard. The imaging is supernatural. I don't even listen to "world music" all that often and crack these discs out whenever I want to impress a casual music listener. Think music like Paul Simon's Graceland but with phenomenal acoustic spacing.

They happen to be pure DSD recordings.

See the three SACDs listed above. These three all have surround tracks by the way, I didn't know Tidal carries surround mixes. The SACDs can be had fairly cheaply on Amazon.

Off the top of my head, I believe Ladysmith Black Mambazo's Ilembe: Honoring Shaka Zulu is the most impressive sounding of the bunch.

Dire Straits "Brothers In Arms"

or maybe it's

RUSH "All the World's a Stage"

Both offer a unique sound.

I got into big speaker Audio just so I can listen to Mark Knopfler play guitar clearer and more realistic than my Iphone and PC speakers could.

Funny...just dropped by for the first time in ages and had a message from this thread...while listening to Mark Knopfler's Shangri-La SACD on my "new w. low hours" $50 Denon 3910

(Coincidentally, a recommendable SACD that can still be had for a sane price.)

Willie Nelson's Red Headed Stranger, you want the remastered version issued in 2000, when your system is setup right and you want to listen to music and not just have it play in the back ground, this will make you smile. Your system needs to be able to handle quite moments as there are many if you hear noise it is not the recording. The sound stage imaging is terrific, and it helps to like Willie This is a 3 CD set and there are many great performances - note a few of the songs are not as well recorded but most are spot on

Céline Dion - My Heart Will Go On from Titanic excellent recording, powerful dynamic range voice and be ready with your sub it is surprising the low notes that the music has, BIG sound stage the beginning is low so allow for a big volume change. Once again if your system is right and you want to hear the best out of your system it is a wow. Celine's recordings are always at the highest recording quality available and make great systems shine.

enjoy
