Here's a quick and dirty setup to break in these speakers before installing them at a clients house..

Induction Dynamics ID1.15 speakers, Denon AVR-3311 AVR as preamp only, Denon DBP-2010 Bluray player as source and California Audio Technology 250.7 amp.  Using 4 of the 250 watt channels on the CAT amp to bi-amp the speakers.

Who knew Ikea Lack tables were rack-ready?

I spent many nights listening to these in two channel mode and they are jaw-dropping.  Large scale recordings are goosebump inducing.  A friend of mine came by one night with some really good live recordings from around Austin and we were both speechless.  Across the spectrum they were spectacular.

Nice...I've never even heard of those speakers before, so interesting to learn about them. I bet they are amazing with movies biggrin.gif

Induction Dynamics is the high-end line of Phase Technology.  www.inductiondynamics.com

The room I installed these guys in also had a ID C1.8 center channel and 4 Phase Tech CI 7.3 in-ceiling speakers for surrounds.  Amazing sound for music or movies.

Ah okay, that's a little more familiar to me then...am I right to assume that this is a single guy's place? If he's got a wife who allows those behemoths in there, I need to know if she's got any single sisters!

You would be incorrect in your assumption.  I designed the room and I think I managed to make both the husband and the wife happy with the results....

Getting close to being off topic...    Laying the speakers down like that didn't do much for their imaging but that wasn't really a concern of the client.

Beautiful rack :)

How do you like SIM Audio with Sonus Faber, I am looking for a good amp for my Elipsa SE, I also have them on a slab of Granite :)

Oh woa an other setup that must sound great

Yes it is difficult to mix quality 2-ch, and HT, and do them both right. But in the end, most of the compromise was in the HT side.

Gorgeous what are these?

* old crumby Sony 5 disk CD player
* Lightspeed Attenuator (fabulous passive preamp from Australia)
* Art Audio PX25 SET amp (6watts/ch.)
* FAB Audio Model 1 (97dB efficient left/right main speakers)
* Two Rythmik Audio F15 subs (15" aluminum drivers, 370watts Class A/B each, servo controlled)
* OmniMic acoustical measurement tool
* TG Audio interconnects and speaker cables; Audience power cords

Acoustical treatment strategy: diffuse and/or reflect mid/high frequencies to maintain sense of 'liveliness', and absorb low frequencies. Have invested in RPG Skylines (ceiling) and GIK Tri-Traps and Monster Bass Traps and their D1 diffusers. Have built several curved hemi-cylindrical diffusers that double as bass traps and also a largeish Skyline diffuser using wooden 2"*2"'s. Have built reflective side wall baffles that open-close betweeen 0-90 degrees and have three rows of them on each side wall so that different ones can be opened different amounts. Many hours of thought, design, and trial and error.

Cool room

Good lookin' rig!

How did you find the Michael Green Audio products worked for you? I have a small HT room that I dont want to treat, but I dont have the room for panels and also dont really want to spend a lot of money since I may not be here long.

Did you notice any improvement?

Thanks summa, the treatments are decent for the price. In my room they are effective at taming the room.
