They have an industrial utilitarian look that I like. Of course, they are not for Living Rooms ...
DIY? Impressive :)
No, but it is a TLA ...
BTW, there are a lot of very nice 2 channel rigs on this Thread. Real eye candy for audiophiles (real or imagined).
Thanks for the comments and for taking the time to read through that mess of a thread.
These are the first speakers since my Revels that I have wanted to hear and see. I am likely going to a powered AT screen in the near future.
I dream about these I would love to design a room with nine of these talk about surround sound!
Thanks these can be bought for less than a third of the other ones
Whoa that must sound incredible the power needed to drive these must be nuts
Also at 14K a pair I hope he got a discount $42Gs
I believe you missed a pair; the first pic shows the L/R...and then 6 in "surround".
Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. -Plato
Yes so so $56,000 whoa that's something!
Also the amps must be at least an other $40,000 total cost $96,000!!
Carver C-1, Carver M-500t, Carver TX-11b, Technics RS-B48R, Sony CD, Dual 1257, and some B&W DM-2000s. Minus the Dual I purchased all of this for $350 including the full-grain maple case. My system was cheap until I purchased a couple Carver m1.5t's which should be coming any day now. The wire in the middle leads to some older B&W 610i speakers that I found in a dumpster in my alley which sound just dandy.
thanx...and those are a LED decoration lamps :-)
Certainly not as new or as high-end as most of the systems in this thread, but if you like aggressive music it does not disappoint!
All mid-late '90's gear...
Harman Kardon PT2500 Preamp
Harman Kardon PA5800 Amplifier
Onkyo Integra 6-disc CD
JBL SVA1800 Speakers
Its all been moved to/from 5 different homes, from OH to MN and finally to FL, and it has managed to deliver an aural assault averaging 40 hours a week for the past 14+ years...
Funny you say aggressive as the JBL speakers I find anything but. They do require you tune up the room though but I have used them for mastering music, production, and blown away many a critic when comparing them to stuff that costs 5 times the cost or more in my studio.
Still using them and love em
And, the second upgrade is for when the neighbors aren't in the mood, a pair of Grado RS2i's.
