Jason, what all is in that rack? I'm sitting here trying to figure out what those two larger items are on the bottom shelf.

There is no azimuth adjustment on the Traveler. Its most likely the tonearm gimble. The spindles pop out all the time because they aren't long enough. Poor design. Might upgrade to a Scout for that reason alone.

How do you like the Rotel 1572 processor? Does it clip the first second from recordings when using HDMI inputs?

Nice classic B&W setup by the way.

Thanks! I love the sound the Rotel produces. And yes, anytime the audio codec changes, you lose a couple seconds of audio via HDMI. A rep from the B&W group posts here and mentioned it's an issue with the chipsets they had at the time and the new models are much better. I'm holding out for Atmos and 11.2 outputs before upgrading though...either Rotel or Classe.

I didn't know that!

Do you have something like Acoustic Sounds test record, which has a 1k test tone for a couple of minutes in each channel? Might be fine. Thought maybe it was just camera angle or something.

Yeah, it's mostly camera angle. I thought if it was leaning any more to the right, it would start playing Fox News.

And yeah, VPI does some strange things. When I first got my Classic Signature with the new 3d unipivot arm on certain recordings the cart would do the

Those are small 8" subs for each channel. The Cabinets are Medallion Cabs for Lowther 8" drivers but i'm using Fostex Drivers in them.

It's called a hobby for a reason, you try things out, what one person likes,or what works for one isn't necessarily for another person. I'm surprised you didn't ask why I have 2 Fi stereo amps being used as mono blocks.

I know the guy that sits down and paints the little dots on speakers then talks the talk about how much it improves the sound etc etc blah blah blah, even goes as far as putting dots on the phase plug ( FAIL ) I have the same driver & little dots on the drivers it was his first screwwed up batch. I have heard many of his speakers too, ( not worth the price and energy ) they to me sound lacking in alot of ways.

See,

Mine are the half chilli though & i have a Ribbon top to brighten them up since they are lacking. I might go as far as measuring them this weekend to show you ..

I've tried a super tweeter, and it makes a nice difference of air on the top, I sold my last pair. Maybe one day I'll get another pair. I've had these cabinets for almost 20 years,I've tried different amps and speaker combos but this set up does it for me.
