What amp would you like to see in your 2 ch. rig.

I have to say back a few years ago I ram a Musical fidelity B-1 integrated amp. The B-1 had a whopping 35 watts per channel. I was running Spica TC-50's. The bottom end of the Spica's were augmented by a Vandersteen 2W. It was magic to my ears.

I miss my B-1 KG

For me...if I'm dreaming...I'm dreaming of blue power meters.

A pair of MC1.2KWs would do nicely in my rig.

I don't get excited by amplifiers and have no need to impress others with bling.

There used to be a dealer near me that carries Ayre. The price of those amps are unreal.

I am fortunate that I own a scaled down version of the best amp I ever heard which was the mcintosh 1 kwatt mono blocks. I have an mc252, 2 channel 250wpc. I have never heard levinsons or boulders but would like to some day. Then again, my bank account might disagree.

As a longtime Denon aficionado, I would love to have the PMA-A100 integrated amp mostly for collectible purposes.

I don't use Crown or Behringer amps, but I do use a number of other brands. Having done the testing I'm comfortable with my choices and don't need a fancy name on a front panel of 10mm machined aluminium.
If I had a lot more money than I do, I'd probably choose Bryston if I were starting again.

Since we're only dreaming here and I don't have to tell the wife I swapped the house for a couple o' power amps, I'd love to trade up to the Mac MC2KW's. Though I wouldn't mind a few MBL 9011's either. Ah, what the hell, throw in a couple of Boulder 2050's too.

Bryston would be nice. One persons over priced bling is another persons pleasure. To each his own eh? Aren't we supposed to be dreaming here? http://www.higherfi.com/amplist/amplist.htm This site makes my head explode.

For sure, but only if you want the bling. For me these amps are the equivalent of saying a multi $k watch keeps better time than my $50 Seiko. It doesn't, but it sure looks fancy and others ooh and aah over it (this is it's only extra value).

Of course...but they look pretty. I would hardly spend that much filthy lucre on electronics. Instead, I would donate it to a 3rd world country. Like Australia...

I use behringer 500a amps for surround duty. They power four surrounds and besides a little buzzing they sound ok. They don't really do anything but amplify....I like that. Id like to see how they sound in a nice 2 channel rig. Loads of power, that's for sure. Power really isn't the end all, but it's nice if you have low sensitivity speakers like I have.
