I got this for free because the circuit was damaged as in the wires were pulled out like that. I need to figure out where what wires go to that number related to color of wire to number of pin.

I plan on making this into a portable audio solution, powered by an APC battery possibly, which can easily be regarched with my car battery charger. it will last HOURS, and it can probably be used while charging as well.

That 9-pin setup goes through the DIN connector back into another unit, right? Can you just open the other unit up and see how it's wired on the other side?

Otherwise, I'd probably not spend too much time on this - you can purchase a comparable 2.1 multimedia set for $20-$30 most days from most places.

I'm having some noise when adjusting the volume so I need to replace the trimpot, but I can't figure out how to disassemble the speakers.
Could you give me a hint on how open it?

The wire pattern is

pin 1-Yellow

pin 2-Red

pin 3-Blue

pin 4-no connection

pin 5-glossy black

pin 6-brown

pin 7-violet

pin 8-grey

pin 9-matte black

The green wire in your picture is not connected to anything
