Logitech z623 2.1 system.

I have it hooked up to my hdtv. It's connected by a dual red and white input. Red and White from the subwoofer to red and white on the back of my hdtv in the audio out section.

The bass is powerful and the speakers sound decent. However, I have noticed that when watching the dark knight and inception on bluray... Glass breaking and gun shots sounded much louder and clearer coming through my tv speakers. It's almost as if my pc speakers have cotton in them or something..

Should I be connecting them with a different cable?
Should I change the ps3 audio settings?
Should I change the tv audio settings?

Suggestions please.

Check your tv settings. Does your tv remote control the the volume from your tv audio out rca jacks? If it does and it is set very low the logitech may not be getting a strong enough signal to accurately amplify. Try red and white from the ps3, how does that sound? Also check the bass control on the control speaker, too much bass?

Thanks man. The tv remote does infact control some volume and i had it at 0.

Now that I know this what should be my next step? Where should my tv volume and also speaker volume be set at?

ALSO, my tv sound setting is on movie mode. There is also a standard, custom, speech, music mode. Finally, SRS TruSurround XT is on in the tv audio settings aswell.

Thanks in advance

It is indeed. I would have to direct you to your TV's manual and see how to shut the TV sound off when ur using external spkers.

Solution: FREE. Explanation: I will have to charge$ you.

I'd try another source like your ps3 or an iPod. Make sure you don't have a bad unit. If it is ok, make your tv sound setting regular and cut off any surround effects, that way you get a pure 2 channel feed.
