You can have 5 days of 8 hours where I will flip a coin 4 times a days and either make a change or not. Your choice of either Kimber or AQ (either line or speaker level your choice) and some Belden 5000ue for speaker or Mogami Gold for line level. The sessions will be video taped. The tapping is to make sure you don't look. Since you are a believer in the higher priced stuff sounding better then what other pros and enthusiasts consider adequate you have to stone cold say which is which. You will get zero sighted time. You're allowed as many breaks as you want and time enough for me to switch cables and replace storage in the camera.

1. I'll initially purchase either the Kimber or AQ (not constant bias systems or doohickies on the cable, because they aren't cables).
2. You put up $2500

If you can't hit a 90 percent rate then you lose. You pay the air fare, hotel, car, food plus the $2500. All monies will be held in escrow. I'm offering you 2:1 on your money.

I gave up after untold PM's to him. I actually have more PM's with ArnyK about Buddahead not responding then any public or private messaging from Buddahead.

Update:

His last post on AVS was 11/19/12

An audiophile likes to talk about how much they spent and how good it sounds.

A DIY'er likes to talk about how little they spent and how good it sounds.

You fellas should read some of their patents. Pretty nifty stuff and real science if I may add.

Already have and I've seen nothing in there that isn't basic EE. I've also commented that they should never have been awarded because it was known technology and not innovative.

Patents can also be given for a new and unique implementation. This sort of transmission line termination and staggered filter poles are unique for audio purposes.

If you like ringing and gross overshoots on transients MIT interlinks is the way to go.

Measured a couple of MIT interlinks with a 1 KHz 1Vpp square wave.

The green plot is similar to what I observed on the oscilloscope on each flank of the square wave:

These interlinks are crap.

Yeah, right. Knowing what's inside the networks, I don't believe that for a second.

But what MIT do is not new.

Audio cables are not transmission lines, nor do the bulk zobels MIT add terminate the line. Staggered filters are also far from new in audio.

It was more than 15 years ago when I did measure them. If I remember correctly it was an MIT 330 interlink and another one similar but do not remember it's tag..

Good sir, you're not very familiar with how power amplifiers work, for example. Or how energy is stored. Or complex harmonics. You should read some of their patents. They're all real with sound science. I really don't want to copy and paste so much information from so many different sources frown.gif

Watch this guys:

I have $5000 to your $2500.

Plus loser pays Airfair, accomodations, car rental, food.

You come out and 9 / 10 times, stone cold SBT, pick out my MIT EXP2's vs Belden on my Statements. Since MIT is the superior cable it will be a slam dunk.

what does that have to do with the challenge? man up, take jinjuku's money....he's been trying to give it away for years....come on dude, do it and prove a point to all us "science believers".

If you take him up on his offer and win his money, i will purchase $5000 worth of stuff from you.

There are many good causes to donate to. He should do it! And instead of spending money on my cables, you should donate for a good cause too!

I looked at your company website and wondered, does boutique cable business pay enough to live off of or do you and your team members do this on the side while holding another job?

we are not talking about donating, the portion of this thread we are discussing is you taking up jinjiku on his challenge. Man up - put to rest once and for all the great cable debate. you have the skills don't ya?

McIntosh MX121 AV
Comcast HD cable box
B&W 802 L/R fronts

Looks like a great system - 99+ percentile.

If differences can't be heard on it, then MIT cables have no legitimate market based on sound quality.

The classic: MIT cables are great! You can hear the difference

Then: Someone actually challenges the claim

Response: Ok all MIT cables are great! Except the MIT EXP2's. Those ones suck.

You can't fix stupid but you can get them to put their foot in their mouth.
