I'm looking for a new combination desktop/bedroom setup. Looking to keep the budget around $1500 (for the AVR + speakers), but can go higher (I know that's a dangerous game).
I'm planning on running the optical out of from my computer to an AVR/amp. I also have a Music Hall MMF 5.1 turntable to hook up (already have a phono amp). I do most of my listening sitting at my desk, but occasionally watch movies/shows from the opposite side of the room. Here's what my room looks like:
I need suggestions for bookshelf speakers - either active or passive. My thoughts now are to buy the cheapest AVR with room correction, and pair it with Ascend Sierra-1 NrT/Sierra-2's.
