I just bought Denon DRA-95VR receiver on eBay in mint condition, however it is missing the remote control.
My first question is,where can I find the code for the remote?Or will it even work with modern remotes?
I did auto remote code search with no luck and Denon codes that came with remote manual did not work.

And my second problem/question is this.Every time I power on the receiver it always goes back to Tuner input setting,is there a way to change the default input?
Or do I need to switch the input manually every time I turn on the receiver with these older receivers?

I love this receiver and it sounds way better than my modern Denon AVR391,I just wish my remote worked and the volume and input settings didn't reset every time I turn off the unit.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Or just repost it there. It's hardly a capital crime.

Do you have a manual for the receiver? Have you tried googling for one?

if lucky, your universal remote will have the codes for the Denon. As far as the default input, I don't recall any such thing and I've been in this business for a while, they should always stay where u left them off last.

Solution: FREE. Explanation: I will have to charge$ you.

Manuals online are only in German. And I'm starting to think these vintage receivers do go back to default input, unless there is a key combo to set another input as default.I know that volume goes back to zero also upon power off.

Way ahead of you, manuals are only in German. That's why I posted my questions here because there is almost no info on it on theinternet.
I figured that there is gotta be another soul that owns one or used to own one.

No one said it was a crime. He asked if this was the "right section". The forum I suggested may get more attention. And, it's better and easier (IMO) to have responses consolidated in one thread, one forum.

Can you get google or some other similar free service to translate the German manual for you? I'm having pretty good luck with Google's work with web pages.
