Perhaps our worthless dollar has a little something to do with it too?

If it's anything like the A-S2000 it is going to be an incredible amplifier. The 2000 is one of my favourites, a great amp for the money. Good to see the CD-S3000 has USB, toslink and coax inputs. The dual toroidal power supplies look so good too.
Just wish the A-S3000 wasn't so busy on the front, (dials etc).
The watt meters are awesome though.

Wish they were releasing some new Soavos too!

I have the SOAVO-900C and it sounds very very good. I wouldn't mind to see some updates of the SOAVO line.

We have had an A-S2000 and CD-S2000 with Soavo 2s and 3s in our store before and it is always a great sounding system.

Very much looking forward to hearing these.

That's the problem. You don't get that much more for about 5000 bucks with the A-S3000 than the 2. Meters? About 10-20 watts? Kind of makes the 2000 the sweet spot in the lineup in terms of price/performance. At the stated MSRP it becomes more of a prestige buy than anything.

Defintely aimed at the jewellery market.

Yamaha do seem to rate their 2 channel amps very conservatively. This is also a very different design, given a toroidal transformer vs H frame in it's counterparts. I think the last amp they had with a toroidal design was the Z9 IIRC which was hugely more impressive sound quality wise compared to the Z11 and Z7, which are still leagues ahead of any of the Aventage series.

Will be great to see and hear this nonetheless.biggrin.gif

These look great and I look forward to the reviews. I'd like to see them come out with a modern version of their NS-1000 speakers.
