Looking to simplify...or upgrade...or change, whatever you want to call it. Using a 5 disc Denon player digitally to a Lexicon DC-1 and Rotel 971 (60 wpc).

The DAC in the Denon is probably worth bypassing and I've heard amazing things about the NOVA. I have no doubts the newer NOVA 125 can power it but the Class D amp scares me. I want warm...borderline dark sound and the Snells are sensative to sources.

So the NOVA is rated as 80 wpc into 6 ohm (come on...just rate it to 8 like most others). The Snell E.5 floor standers are factory described as 90 db and nominal 4 ohms. Assuming the NOVA is happy at 4 ohms all day that sounds like an easy load, right?
