I am struggling to get the unit to play more than one track at a time when i select a playlist or album via my nas - anyone got this device or know of a fix?
Further testing seems like it's only when using flac files. Mp3 files play next after next.
For what it's worth, I've mesed with one and though it sounded/felt/looked great. The gyro touch well is pretty neat!

It does sound awesome for its size, it is an ipod dock but its so much more. The iphone/ipod app is almost like its screen for config etc. I use the iphone purely to instigate dlc from my nas to play.
Was hoping more people would have one by now.
Did anybody else purchase a Consolette since the price drop? I think it is a great deal for $600.
I bought a Consolette recently, after the price dropped to $600 here in the US. Though I do not by any means have a golden ear, I think it sounds pretty darn good: clear, coherent, sparkling highs, and a well-defined bass.
The software, on the other hand...
My preferred file format is AIFF, which the Consolette doesn't accept, so I bought a cheap NAS (WD My Cloud) and started transcoding some of my AIFF masters to FLAC. I shared your disappointment when I discovered that it would seemingly only play one FLAC at a time (haven't tried MP3 or the other formats it plays).
FWIW, I did get it to play files sequentially by leaving the remote app open after selecting the album (16/44.1 FLAC) via the app. All I can say is: come on, Marantz, get your act together! Did it occur to nobody to test this? Do you really think I want to tie up my iPad with the remote app 100% of the time when there are other things I might want to use it for while music plays? Like, for instance, reading?
The lack of documentation for this unit is breathtaking. I think it was an okay purchase for $600, just based on sound quality, but it's not as user-friendly as it should be for technology that basically relies on an app to control it. Seriously, am I supposed to memorize what internet radio station I assigned to each preset (no labels)? And only six presets? Vtuner doesn't seem to upload anything either, and how do I add a "favorite?" Are the "favorites" the same as the presets? The Consolette had a chance to be the standard to which similar units are compared, but Marantz sadly fell on its face and didn't deliver a complete product.
(If anyone from Marantz is keeping tabs, software is critical these days. I've been tempted to switch to Marantz (from Onkyo) for my main system, but am prevented by the fact that there's no remote app similar to oRemote. That's right, the superiority of a $5 (if I recall correctly) third-party remote app is dictating my choice of components. While that might seem silly to those who value sound quality above all else, being able to control the electronics in the easiest possible manner is also important. Get it together, Marantz. Please! Want me to plunk down more money for that AV8801? Make this simple little two-channel console work correctly and I'll think about it...)
I just picked one of these units up as a free with purchase type deal with a SR7008. I guess they discontinued them and are now just trying to unload them. I haven't had much chance to mess with it yet but did play a little Hans Zimmerman on it just to check it out briefly. This thing kicks out a lot of sound for its size and I was nowhere near full volume. I am looking forward to digging a little deeper to get it hooked up on the internet. I am a bit puzzled how to though. It gives me a WPS code on the screen but I am not sure what to do with it.
