Looking for some suggestions for a new amp in a 2.1 setup.

I'm driving a pair of BA Lynnfield VR 30's with matching powered sub in a 16' x 16' room. Ideally, I'd like something that offers a multi zone option which sounds like an AVR might be my best bet. I'm not opposed to that and after reading some of arnyk's posts (thanks for all of the insight arnyk and others!) an AVR might be my best option in regards to bang for the buck. Over the years I've been intrigued by NAD's offerings and more recently Emotiva, but I'm looking for some other, potentially less expensive options.

I'm all about the bargain and I'm not opposed to refurbished or past models (i.e. items at Accessories for Less)

$300-$600 range, depending on the deal.

Thanks in advance.

I read somewhere that Fry's has the Pioneer VSX822K on sale for $170. Hard to beat that.
