trying to talk other half to go see steve Hackett show in dec.
If you're a Genesis fan (the earlier albums like The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, A Trick of the Tail, Selling England by the Pound, Foxtrot, Wind & Wuthering, etc.), I would HIGHLY recommend going to Steve Hackett. He's assembled a great group of musicians and he's playing all old Genesis tunes .....a 20-minute version of Supper's Ready was quite the treat. These guys can play and they really seem to enjoy it.
If you want a preview, he's got a couple of CD/DVD releases of "Genesis Revisited" that are quite representative of the show I saw earlier this year.
7/19 - Procol Harum
8/7 - Soundgarden
8/13 - Queensryche staring Geoff Tate 9/6 - Spoon 9/11 - Kenny Wayne Shepherd

* Ty Segall for those not familiar should check out one of his side projects, Fuzz. One of the best albums of the last 5 years IMO. Very big Blue Cheer, Black Sabbath influence.
