Ready for Another Turntable Recommendation Thread?

Hey gang: I was raised on a Sunday morning breakfast/music ritual where the old man would spin a few carefully selected records from his collection. I've carried on the tradition with my family -- digitally -- but the nostalgia of vintage audio keeps visiting.

I probably won't be able to throw another set-up in the house, but wanted to cobble together a modest Mad Men style turntable system from Craigslist and put it in my cool woodshop. I don't want to listen to a crapola victrola, but I really would rather put this together with the change I find under the couch cushions and in the truck console. Vintage stuff is cool with me to play some Duke Ellington, Dave Brubeck, and whatever else I can find at garage and estate sales.

I appreciate everyone's help getting the discussion going and look forward to your responses.

The "CK-20" looks to be a Dual 1219 turnable in a CK-20 plinth. That's a pretty nice piece, at a reasonable price.

The turntable is a Dual 1245. The model number is in the lower right corner of the first picture. I like Dual turntables and own one myself. If you get that turntable you can get it tuned up at: http://www.fixmydual.com/

Packing a lot of sound into a small room.
268 square feet/2144 cubic feet
7.2: 9 speakers and 2 subwoofers.

Good secondhand non DJ'd Technics SL1200/1210. Plenty of other slightly lower spec Technics DD units built over the years that are also worthy of consideration.
