Wow I got a few. Let me start off with the obvious. Pink Floyd "Meddle".

Pink Floyd Meddle is the most obvious to me too, but I know I have hundreds of others, but can't think of any of them right now. Might be a day filled with senior moments. I'm sure I have many on the ECM label. Maybe John Surnam for one. Barrie Phillips might be another.

Marley's Ghost is a unique group. Dismissing their music as "folk music" is way off the mark.

Their repertoire includes classic Reggae, a number of songs by Bob Dylan that I would not classify as folk, New Orleans Funk and Blues, and quite a number of songs they have written that don't neatly fit into any simple classification, other than excellent.

They play a wide variety of acoustic and electric instruments and sing acapella on occasion.

I think they are the best band I have ever heard, for any number of reasons.

They are, by the way, making one of their rare live appearances tomorrow night at Claremont, CA. at 7:30.

I will certainly be there.

Call 909-624-2928 for tickets.

Too bad it's only 2,300 miles away. And even if I was there right now it would be at least a two hour drive.

The only thing that would get me out that way is a NHRA Street Legal event at Fontuckey, but that meant on the road at 5:30am on a Saturday morning, but Caltrans usually managed to screw that up.

Left lane for me. Hobby runs a little counter to my audiophilia.

Ahhh, the Pontiac surround sound system with G8 channels. Rumor has it the LS processor puts a lot of sound out the rear channels although the front stage has a powerful song of it's own.

Pink Is The Colour

A two hour sojourn put together on a rainy afternoon, this focuses on the spacey/trippy/mostly instrumental side of Floyd with a few of my remixes and surprises along the way. After listening to it just now it also seems as an homage to Rick Wright as he’s prominent throughout.

I was wondering when someone was going to pick this one. I was going to post it yesterday. Good catch!!

I'd add a couple of other songs to this from the Bowie catalog. Life on Mars (Hunky Dory) and Space Oddity (Space Oddity)

Lenny White - Venusian Summer but that is a different sort of outer space

When i think of stuff like Eno's Apollo , that reminds me a lot of the moon and outer space..very well done..

They're all good. I especially like it when they collaborate on albums. Sometimes the results are greater than the sum of the parts.

When I think of space music I think of a few things but most of all I think of the Cosmos: A Personal Voyage (1980) TV series. Every song from this series is gold.
