Playing DSD content in stereo mode

I downloaded some test files in native DSD format to play on the x2100w receiver which is connected to the rf82 floor speakers. The DSD files are stored in a External hard drive connected to the USB port on the receiver. I was hoping to hear big difference as compared to listening to an MP3 but didn't notice any jump in sound quality.
I have some wav files as well ripped from a cd that sound much better than these DSD files. Not sure if the DSD files are not really native recorded at high frequency and higher bit rate or is it the decoder in my receiver at fault.

I can't even begin to decipher digital formats but it's really hard to tell exactly what you have unless it is analyzed. I remember one high rez format release that was actually just a CD copy.

Test files from hdtracks.com and nativedsd.com sites. Samples to download and try out. I was glad the recover was able to decide the files but quality was poor.

Stereo mode? Where the files supposed to be surround? As for DSD they will only sound as good as its source so unless you know the tracks original source there's no telling what you are listening too.
