Ortofon 2m Black!

I've been recently enjoying music via this cartridge and couldn't be happier. The tremendous energy in the lower midrange to midbass and soundstage width is exceptional. Almost like listening to a master reel tape. Who agrees this is the best MM?

Oh... okay. I don't agree it's the best MM cartridge. As long as you enjoy the choice you made, that's all that matters.

In that price range I would pick the Hana HOMC and one that I used for quite a long time the Dynavector 10x5. Never a big fan of Ortofon MM carts.

I would agree on the Dynavector. The Ortofons (although I have one) are too hot on high end, IMO.

Best is highly subjective. My favorite MM cart right now is the Clearaudio Maestro V2 that I'm using on a Rega RP6 in my secondary system.

This cartridge will likely end up on the VPI Prime Scout I am currently configuring.

I haven't heard enough to declare it "the best," but I certainly like mine.

DALI Epicon 2 speakers; SVS SB 13 Ultra subwoofer; PrimaLuna HP integrated amp; Esoteric K-03 SACD player; Oppo BDP 105 SACD/Blu-ray player; VPI Scout 1.1/Ortofon 2M Black; Audeze LCD-XC headphones

Yeah, and I think that's the same length 3d arm that's on my Classic Signature. Axpona was the introduction of the Prime Signature. I really wish I had waited.

That's Matt's baby not Harry's. Matt was a very proud papa (of the table)

If it wasn't so expensive, I'd love to put that arm on my Scout. It also requires a new mounting base.
