Motorised Curved Scope Masking?

Is there any commercially available motorised curved scope masking system available as an add on product to an existing screen?

And do you have a plan for one or have you done it yourself?
If not do you know of someone that has.

Im happy to make my own but if someone has done this before me it would make life easier!

Hi Murray,

I have built a curved screen with integrated masking, but really the idea behind the masking is that it is contained almost exclusively in the frame around the screen, so I think the concept can be used to create just the masking system. My build thread can be found here.

Let me know if you have any questions.

- Paul.

Im using the two outside speakers as WIDES in behind my new curved scope screen. I use to have smaller satellite WIDES on the side walls, but this sounds 100%%% better. The wide's in this position sounds exactly the same as it use to from the side walls but WAY BETTER! The audio seems to come from the side walls.

The beauty about this placement is dialog from older 35/70MM mag films often comes from the wide channel, it always sounds false when its outside of the screen area, now its contained within the scope image. I would NEVER place WIDES on the side walls again.
