Wish I could find a SCQ3.8 but it doesn't exist. Don't go smaller than a SCQ3.6 as too much tension will wear out the bushings in the load motor.

Thank you!! Just ordered 2 as that seems to be a part that wears out quickly. Wish I could have canceled my Ebay order, but oh well.

Ok, I feel dumb. I am replacing the m-holder and got it out, but now not sure how these two attach to anything. Once I got the m-holder out, these just came loose.

Thanks.

Also, one of the shorter of the tiny screws that holds the holder to the motor fell into the abyss of the player. Turning the player around doesn't make the screw move, so it's being held down there somewhere. Anyone know the specs on those so I can get another?

Thanks again.

Pioneer Laserdisc fix help

Ah, I guess this would explain why the m-holder stopped working. Once I realized those posts were broken off, I was able to figure out how to get it together. Just missing that screw now.

The Ebay SCQ4 band arrived sooner than the ones from Pioneer, so I tried it for ****s and giggles. It works perfectly. Now I'm out $24. Ah, se la vie!

And I found the screw. Once I was able to secure the motor assembly in place, I could really tilt the player around until the screw slid out. All back together and working perfectly. Thanks especially to Kurtis. Now I can watch all my original Ultimate Collection Star Wars LDs in peace.

I'm having issues with both my CLD 79 and CLD 99. When I insert a disc the player groans then ejects the tray with a U1 error code. I bought replacement belts from the ebay seller but both players still have the loading issue.

Do I need the stock Pioneer belt or does the gear that raises the pickup need lubrication?
