Hi Everyone

Just got e Sony MDP-740D Pal/NTSC Player, really nice player. But has a problem, when i insert the LD, it recognizes the LD, the display lights up and doesn't read the disc.
This Player was low used, should't be like that.
I have the possibility to buy a new laser pickup for it. Do you guys think that's the problem?

Unfortunately, the real problem here is that it's a Sony Laserdisc player. Mechanical breakdowns are par for the course.

Would probably cost you more to fix this one than to replace with a better Pioneer model.

Hi

What the player does is:

The laser and the motor work. If I insert a laserdisc, the motor starts and you can hear that the unit tries to focus. Then it stops, but the display shows "LD"

The unit has very little usage...Can that be a simple Laser cleaning?
