Yes, it's an oldie most would consider, but I plugged it in after a few years non use and it works great .... that is except for one annoying problem: When I push the open/close button to open the door to put in a DVD the door opens and immediately closes as if it was one action. I have about .oooo5 sec to set the DVD down in the right orientation which is impossible so the DVD door will close on the DVD causing me to have to take the cover off the DVD player to retrieve it.
Any suggestions?

Bad tray/loader. If it doesn't open, have you tried hitting the top of the unit? smile.gif That's what I do with my Oppo BDP-83 and its crappy tray/loader.

One thing you could try is opening the case and using some forced air to clean out the mechanism and innards. However, since the player was made from least cost goods, the tray/loader could have failed.
