Pioneer DVL-909

Hi all,
I picked up a brand new pioneer DVL-909 on eBay from a guy here in Australia a couple of years back, and it has been fine the last couple of years,(it hasn't had heaps of use) but recently it has been making a strange squeak or maybe grinding sort of noise when loading a disc, or when powering down when the mechanism 'parks' it's hard to describe but definately sounds as though something is rubbing in the mechanism. Any one have any ideas what his could be?
Regards Craig

Remove the top and see if helping lift up the laser mechanism resolves the sound. If it does then buy a new loading belt generic part number SCQ4.0 it is under the tray on the front left.
