Question - Whats the best way to hook up an HLD-X0 Laserdisc Player??

I have read mixed opinions. Some say composite others say S-video. I can either go through my Yamaha CX-5000 for scaling, my Oppo 105 for scaling or direct to my JVC DILA projector (current 2014 model).

Suggestions by the experts?

Thanks in advance.

The answer varies depending on the equipment you have to use and your preferences. You have to try the different combinations and use the one that looks best to you. People serious about upscaling get more serious equipment like the higher end DVDO units.

What is the best scaler one can use. How are the Lumagen verse DVDO units? How do they compare with the built in scaler in my Yamaha CX-5000 or i the Oppo 105
