Looking for a cheap (under $100.00) player that will output digital (DVI or HDMI) and analog (composite, component, what ever) video at the same time.

Am I dreaming or does it exist???

Maybe. The composite and S-video outputs will definitely get turned off if any upconverting is done to prevent an older TV connected to either from getting damaged by the higher scan rates. The component output is a hit or miss proposition. You'll have to check spec sheets/manuals of individual players to see how that analog connection is used and treated. DVI outputs have/are disappeared/ing altogether from the backs of players in favor of the HDMI digital connection.

Update - I've researched quite a few basic single DVD players and can not find a single one that will output through the digital and analog ports at the same time. Guess I'm out of luck.

UPDATE - I found one! I bought the Panasonic DVD-S52. It's a great machine. Lots of menu options for the tweek junky. It up-converts. Has HDMI and component out. It has optical and coax audio out. I love it!

The End

This guy's a freakin' idiot!!!

I can't believe I posted this comment without mentioning Panasonic's DVD-S77 player, which I have. Regardless if upscaling is turned on and which resolution is selected, the composite and S-video analog outputs are always on and always at 480i. I've had both my projector via HDMI and a secondary monitor via S-video running at the same time with no problems.

I'm guessing this is across the board for Panasonic players.
