Hi All:
I just got the OPPO 971HD and don't know what to set for the audio in the audio setting. Should I use Raw or PCM to send the audio signal to my Marantz SR8200 receiver vs the optical cable? My old Sony DVD player doesn't have "RAW" setting only PCM. Thanks for all the help!

The 971H's "raw" setting is equivalent to the "bitstream" setting on other players. If you are connecting to a surround receiver, you want to leave this set to the default of "raw" - that tells the player to pass the Dolby Digital and DTS bitstreams on to the receiver for decoding.
