Hi to all
anyone knows if you have advantage to have hdmi 1.3 in a dvd player of it s not necessary ?
I want to buy the DENON DVD-5910CI with HDMI 1.1, but i am not sure if will come out a version with 1.3

There's no reason to put HDMI v1.3 on a DVD player. HDMI v1.2a might be worthwhile (to allow SACD DSD bitstream output), but so far we haven't seen much support for v1.2 on receivers so even that is not necessarily going to matter much.

Have you looked at the 3930? Pretty close to the 5910 in performance, for a lot less money.
