Why is TWC on demand the only "download" service where the movies come with captions? I've also tried PS3 downloads, and apple downloads.

Obviously cable on demand has limitation, like it won't work for my laptop, and it has a smaller selection. Does netflix or any of the other download services have movies that come with captions?

iTunes currently has 124 films that have closed captions. If you go to the Power Search section you can find all of the films currently available.

I have the Roku box and use the Netflix streaming. No captions. It's a bummer because I have it my exercise area and pretty much can't hear the audio if I'm running on the treadmill which is my primary activity. It sure limits the usefulness of the device for me.

I am also surprised that such a basic function is not more widely available. This is one of the biggest reasons I wait for a Blu-ray disc from Netflix rather than rent the download.

They asked me to take a survey and one of the questions was about captions. They would have to have 2 different streams for each program but they are at least considering it.
