A small part of a larger story, but I found it of interest that half of the download sales for Quantum of Solace were HD. It looks like streaming/downloading has the potential to increase HD adoption!

In the digital download arena, demand for Twilight also was unsurpassed, with the title coming in at No. 1 on Apple's iTunes chart. Quantum debuted at No. 2, and MGM reports half the purchases were in HD.

I think that this says that half of the people that "purchased" the movie via downloads selected HD rather than SD. I would think that the amount of people that rented rather than purchased the download would be much greater. So, it is not clear how much of the total download business for this movie is HD versus SD.

Does anybody know what percentage of Apple's, Vudu's, or Amazon's revenue comes from rent versus buy?
