The Bell Video Store will be discontinued

Please note that on July 15, 2009, the Bell Video Store will be discontinued. As a result, you will not be able to make any new purchases or rentals after June 15. We recommend you:

Use any e-coupons for video downloads by June 15
Make a backup copy of any purchased content from the Bell Video Store

If you are a Bell TV subscriber, visit bell.ca/tvonline, where you'll find exclusive features to enhance your Bell TV experience.

Good news!!

It looks like they were never meant to be a compelling consumer offering, but simply a way to justify shutting down access to other services.

Bell Launched this service shortly after beginning to throttle the popular bit torrent protocol. Similar services such as Azureus's Vuze & ********** Inc's DNA Platform have been effectively stopped from entering this market in Canada.
