One just added very funny movie to watch, for all ages: Hoodwinked
Not as good is the sequel, delayed a year due to some fighting between the studio and others: Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil

Thanks Andy. I am glad they added the first movie as I did not want to watch the sequel before the first.

Ran into Legit a while back. A comedy series with Jim Jefferies. Hilarious!

I can't remember whether I already saw The Machine or not; I've definitely watched its trailer. I'll have to take a look. (I suppose that if I've actually seen and forgotten it it doesn't recommend it much ).

TVandMoviesNow.com sees 120 new and renewed movies added on the 1st, with some good stuff in there like There Will Be Blood, School of Rock, Blood Sport, The Elephant Man and An Officer and a Gentleman.

just caught this one by accident last night on comcast - but it's available fm netflix as DVD - Underworld: Rise of the Lycans - actually first vampire/werewolf genre film i've liked, but that could be cause Bill Nighly plays the lead role and does a helluva job - i gave it a 4 - 4.5 stars

I started to add that even the presence of Rhona Mitra failed to save it . I'm not entirely certain that I ever managed to make it through to the end; maybe it redeems itself at some point.

i didn't even to know it was part of a series - i'm just a bill nighly fan , his dry sardonic persona is perfect and usually adds an intereting flavor to his roles

i've have to see the other episodes

They're not "episodes", per se--they're big budget feature motion pictures. They start with Underworld, which was followed by a sequel, Underworld Evolution, then Rise of the Lycans, which was a prequel and last Underworld: Awakening which is set in the future. All of the others feature the delectable Kate Beckinsale in skin-tight leather . All are available to stream from Netflix in various regions (if you use one of the DNS spoofing services to give access to those), though none currently in the US region.

That is not black leather she is wearing, she said in an interview that it is actually latex - it was painted on like a bondage outfit, then given embellishments and zippers.

I haven't seen Perfect Sense mentioned in this thread, and it's available for streaming in the US now. Dean Roddey over in Movies, Concerts and Video Discussions created a thread for it and gives it a very strong recommendation, with which I agree wholeheartedly.

I found it interesting the "3 Days to Kill" was added yesterday. This film with Kevin Costner and Amber Heard is indeed worth a watch probably because it was written by Luc Besson and not your typical Hollywood crap. It's a good thriller.

I watched 3 Days to Kill last night. As expected in all McG films, it was loud and dumb, boy was it ever dumb, but had some entertaining chase scenes. Objectively viewed, it stinks, but it held my attention well enough for me to give it a marginal recommendation. Because I was feeling generous, I gave it 7 Stars out of 10.

Thanks for the heads up about the Bettie Page documentary, partner! I had been wanting to see it for some time but only recently got signed up with NF. Bettie Page is an artifact of my youth, who was both sexy and oddly wholesome at the same time. Despite how much I thought I knew about her life, I had been unaware of the psychotic break that led to being incarcerated in a mental hospital for ten years after she attacked and badly injured a former landlady. Very Sad.

Another terrific film for Bettie Page fans is The Notorious Bettie Page, starring Gretchen Moll in the title role.

When this movie came out it knocked my socks off. An excellent piece of script writing and acting. Opened my eyes to the range of Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. No chase scenes, no one gets killed, no one even fires a weapon of any sort...Yet, I was riveted to the story, and at times it was funny, or sad, or whatever. Especially like the soundtrack song by Alabama Shakes! Highly recommend this flick.

I saw Silver Linings Playbook in the theater and loved, loved, loved it, 9 Stars out of 10. I saw in again later, this time on BD, and liked it just as much. It is one of David O. Russell's best, brilliantly written and equally brilliantly performed by its remarkable ensemble cast. I had read the novel and liked it but thought Russell's screenplay told the story more satisfactorily than the book had done.

I tried to watch it a month or two ago and couldn't get past the first 20 minutes. Maybe I'll give it another try.

Just finished watching all 8 episodes of The Assets. Excellent drama based on the Aldrich Aames case. I thought I saw a recommendation here, but I'm not seeing the post. Anyhoo, thank you, it was very enjoyable. Once I started watching, I couldn't stop and had to finish all the episodes last night, and I got maybe a few hours of sleep in

Amazon has seasons 4 thru 7 in HD, the first 3 in SD (all for purchase, of course). VUDU very strangely has only seasons 2, 4, 6 and 7, with all but season 2 in HD.
