Saw an ad for this when watching Marvels Agents Of shield on ABC last week. Daredevil. Interesting cast.

Both add to (or will; DD's trailers are) Netflix's meager offering of 4K video as presumably will all future "Netflix Original" scripted dramas.

So true. Between Netflix and my DVR recordings, I haven't been able to catch up to the third season of House Of Cards yet. Just started watching this seasons Black Sails on Starz. The video and audio quality is top notch.

This is done by the same folks who did Damages. If they use the same formula, they'll do flash forwards to make you think something really cool or bad ass happened (OMG they killed her! OMG she killed somebody! OMG everybody is dead!) But in the end it will turn out to be a head fake and something happened alright but never as fantastic as what they led you to believe.

They had really good cast though. Full of well known actors often playing against type and excellent character actors you recognize from somewhere.

I have all of the episodes recorded but haven't watched any of them yet either. I guess I should move that one to the top of my list of things I don't have time for.

I watched Killer Mermaid the other day. It wasn't great but Natalie Burn in a bikini made it worth watching.

It kinda bored me to tears, other than a few parts. We skipped the second season on Starz which is finishing up now.

I've not been able to get into Black Sails because the characters seem too cerebral to be a bunch of pirates & prostitutes. I do like DaVinci's Demons on Starz, but haven't checked to see if it's available on Netflix.

I tried the first episode of "Bloodline" but even though I watch indie movies that are slow it was more like watching slow running end credits for an indie film that wasn't long enough for the distributer so they slowed the credits down (bet you've all seen those). I liked "Damages" but this ... meh. Then I read the reviews on Netflix. It's like they called employees on Saturday and told them to write up 5 star reviews. Most of those have no substance whereas many of the one and two star reviews are from people who were hoping to like it and had substantial criticisms.

I have no issues with the acting being a former thespian myself, however, I agree last season had it's short comings, but this year, so far, has been a lot better. Black Sails is like a new car model, wait until the next production year, after they get the bugs out of it.

I felt the same way after watching the first episode of Bosch. I then watched it, after seeing people recommend it, and enjoyed it. It was fairly well done. I'm almost done with Bloodline and I like it better than Bosch. It's not perfect, but they do a good job.

Interesting - I loved Bosch from the very first scene. I had some reservations after watching the first Bloodline episode, but watched another 2 last night and think I'll stick around and watch the remaining episodes. Ben Mendelsohn (as Danny Rayburn) is doing good work here.

We have so much to watch so if something like "Bloodline" isn't filling then it goes down farther on the list. Unfortunately there are signs that some of the content providers want to jump into the game and rather than license to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, et al, they are going to start their own subscription service. They just don't get it.

Not for everyone but a "find" is "Cat Run 2" which is quirky and pulpy but entertaining.

The Danny and his brother, Kevin, characters are written and acted very well. Bloodline is more about the characters than the overall plot. My first impression of Bosch with after watching the first episode that it was kinda cliche, but I'm glad and went back and watched the rest.

The "Bosch series" books are very good too. Written by Michael Connelly.
