We watched it this past weekend. I thought it was a quite nice change of pace. Also hoping for another season.

About time. Lets just hope they don't decide after a few weeks to remove season 1 or like they did with Amazing Spiderman seasons 1-2. (I still don't forgive them for that).

Netflix doesn't remove seasons (why would they?), the studios that own the shows, have been fracturing a series' rerun package, in order to exert greater control over their property-and theoretically increase it's value to the buyer (mainly) Netflix.

Question Flixshed

Netflix-loses-millions-of-users-because-of-this-website?

Seriously? I think it's odd that there is no pricing available until you sign up for the free 5 day trial.

It's not on my Roku.

It's not on my Smart TV.

So unless it's really cheap,

it ain't for me.

After your 5 day free preview it bills at $50/month; seeing that I declined to give them a card number . Millions of Netflix subs are jumping ship for a service which you can only use in browsers with no discrete surround sound which costs 5 times as much? They must be kidding .

I thought I google them to see what comes up. You only have two links going back to their website and links dealing with domain names....nothing else.

If I were to guess, its a gimmick to get your credit card number.

I also googled them and only got two valid links. The rest were domain names which looks like it is a scam service that just started. I bet once they get your money the site will go down and turn into another parked domain site.

Wait there is Chromecast support. Yea right you have to use the Chrome browser with the Chromecast extension and cast the browser to your TV.

Yes, as I noted above, it looks like someone has taken the Popcorn Time software and is trying to make a buck off of it. Popcorn Time is a program that enables the viewing of shows via the bit-torrent file sharing protocol, illegally no doubt.

The second series of the detectorists was good too, I thought it was better. It isn't on Netflix or Hulu yet.

And here is the title song that I have listed to a thousand times.

I can't recall if it's been previously mentioned, however, the documentary featuring Roger Ebert (RIP)

"Life Itself"

Well worth a watch, especially for those that are long time film fans and watched "Siskel and Ebert" over the years ..

^^^ I liked the Life Itself documentary too. Ebert was not incredibly brave, he was an essentially sweet man. That showed through in his reviews. He may have been the most positive movie critic who ever lived.

I found the evolution of his relationship with Siskel particularly interesting and moving in a way ..

It's sad that Siskel & Ebert has no successor, though they tried.

With the internet and metacritics etc there isn't a need for it like there used to be. But they were kind of America's critics and I can't help feeling something valuable was lost. Right about now, they would be doing the rounds talking about who will / should win an Oscar.

Couldn't agree more. The chemistry between Siskel and Ebert was magical. I miss them too and fear we'll never see their like again.

Into the White: During WWII a British RAF crew is shot down over wintertime Norway. They seek shelter in a cabin but find that the German Luftwaffe crew that shot them out of the sky is already in the same cabin. Talk about awkward.

I also loved their interplay as guests on Johnny Carson's show.
