I love Black Mirror, although haven't had time to really watch the newest 'season'. I have seen the first 3. Tried to watch Bojack, but it wasn't for me.

I didn't know what I was missing. I just started watching Black Mirror this week, got through the first season and started on season two. It's a great show.

I have watched the first seven of the 10 episodes in The Crown on Netflix and have been blown away. Its production values are worthy of those of Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey. Everything from the writing, to the caliber of the cast, to the sets, to the photography scream "Class!" I have read a lot of English political history of the '40s and '50s so I may be more susceptible than some to the show's charms. Still, it's great drama that I think most would like. Highest recommendations!

Apparently it cost Netflix $130 million to create, it should look good!

Why Netflix's 'The Crown' is the most expensive TV show ever made

Quote:
The production saw the recreation of Queen Elizabeth's wedding dress - as seen in the first episode - cost roughly $35,000; though, by comparison, Elizabeth paid for her own dress by saving ration coupons to pay for the material, as was the practice of other brides in 1947. The production also saw 7,000 costumes and a lifesize replica of Buckingham Palace.

Netflix is spending money like a drunken sailor. They're making me nervous.

With $6.35 billion in revenue thru the 3rd quarter of this year, Reed and the gang are raking it in ..

And a commitment to release more than 600 hours of original content this year, and top 1,000 hours next year ..

Rumor had it Disney was considering an attempted buy out ..

"The Crown" doesn't sound like a show I'd be interested in. But then I watched about one episode of "Game of Thrones" when it started out and found it was not my cuppa tea.

Yep - "The Fall" slow, burning, dramatic tension. Very well acted.

I finding that some fans of the seasons 1 and 2 of "The Fall" didn't like season 3. I take it they wanted more action.

Well - I have two episodes of Season 3 remaining, and so far it has held my interest, no car chases, shoot outs or bam bam explosions, but it does have intense character studies & dramatic tension - so it may not be for everyone - but so far I've enjoyed Season 3.

I have one episode of "the crown" left to watch. I don't want it to end so I'm procrastinating. I find that to be the best way to judge a Netflix series.

I just finished the last episode today. I was absorbed, start to finish, over the entire ten hours. I'm guessing this will get a ton of award nominations, well-deserved.

I enjoyed The Fall as well hopefully it will return for another series with a new story.
I just finished Dicte, Marcella and Black Mirror next up is The Crown and Roman Empire.
I know there are many that say the choices are slim but IMO the international offerings give me plenty to choose.

Finished all episodes of "Paranoid" over the week. It's an excellent UK procedural series.

Black Mirror started off slow to me, did not care for the first two. Shut Up and Dance was WOW, and I liked what they did with Men Against Fire (even though I figured it out before hand).

For some reason, I thought San Junipero was outstanding.

Playtest blew me away and the final episode Hated In The Nation was so well done I can see it actually happening.
Btw there's conversation of San Junipero becoming a stand alone concept.

If you're into LA indie films "Blood in the Water" (added yesterday) is a pretty decent thriller.
