I'd never heard of it before I saw it listed on Netflix but apparently the first season originally aired on SyFy a year ago; season 2 begins to air on the February 1st.
It was compelling enough to pull me through the 13 episodes over a couple of days and I will be watching season 2. (Glad I don't have to wait a year to see what happens after the cliffhanger ending

I had forgotten about The Magicians
on SyFy. I remember generally that I rather liked it. For some reason, though, it appears that I cancelled my season pass. Fortunately, SyFy is going to rerun the last three episodes of Season 1 on Wednesday morning, so I can watch the Season 1 finale and then decide whether I want to start Season 2 on Wednesday evening.
