B-scott, same thing happened to me last night. Took me a while to figure out what I needed to do as I've only had the PS3 since Monday.

Had the problem about 1am this morning, finally got to the app by resetting my PSN password and that did the trick. Just tried it now and it asked me to sign in again with the PSN login, this time it worked.

I've got a bit of an off/on topic question. My login ID for PSN is an old email address I don't/can't use anymore. Is there anyway to change that on the PS3/PSN?

Looks like you can do it by logging in here.

It is Sony's stupid war with the hackers that hacked the PS3. They seem to be changing the term of service and user agreement to cover this hacking.

I'd sign in again (by clicking SEL, using all of the remembered info in the dialog) and then be told that I needed to go to PSN->Sign In and sign in again, killing any game that I might be running first. Netflix showed me the GUI and then said, "it appears that this device has been deactivated" and a button to reactivate. I declined to do that, quiting Netflix and signing in again. When I restarted Netflix it worked fine, same GUI as I've always had, no device reactivation required (on Netflix' site, it says that the device was activated today).

I'd be interested in seeing the new interface you got--consider posting a picture.
Same thing.

I guess they just wanted to force a new TOS without making it obvious that you needed to do this - which made it really confusing.

It didn't tell you that you had to quit the app and Sign In directly from the XMB?

I forgot about their TOS thing and tried to sign into Rock Band today but it gave me a specific error message informing me I had to exit out of the "software" that I was running before I could sign in. When I did sign in from the XMB, the TOS looked to be launched as a part of the PSN store app or something rather than the typical layout and fonts of the XMB that you see when accepting the TOS for a firmware upgrade.

Nope it didn't. But I have it set to always auto-login, so maybe that was why.

Finally figured out today that agreeing to the new PS3 TOS fixes the problem.

I added 65 new titles to the list. I might do this more often if it weren't so mind-numbingly boring .

You know, Mike, I love the list and it's a great resource .. may I ask if you don't mind segregating out the new titles as they come up .. ?? Perhaps with a date then the list .. ?? At my age, I just can't remember what's old and what's new ..

Yeah--I just had the same thought. From now on, I'll clearly mark the new ones somehow: how about putting New! at the end of the line?

It will be easy to do from now on, but its too late for the current batch. You are, however, in luck--I still have the unmerged list:

Reportedly the Panasonic 210 does DD+... no longer a PS3 exclusive.

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...4#post20087574

the big news is that the netflix is the 3.0 which is the same one as the ps3. it can play the DD+ and it will show up on the receiver. I have the onkyo 270. I got the DD+ to show up on a couple of titles.

That's nice--I assume that the Panasonic is using the new HTML5 player that the PS3 is? I know that it's been popping up on other platforms.

There were 11 new 5.1 titles added yesterday--I merged them into the list, marked like that.

I also went through a found 18 titles which have become unavailable for streaming and marked them.

Not sure about Roku, but Apple TV now streams 5.1 DD via Netflix.

Oooh....Ong Bak 3 and Daybreak!

I really liked Daybreak when it aired. Kindof like a grown up Groundhog Day.

I went through and checked them all: Eraser and Treeless Mountain expired since the last time (I also found that the seasons of That 70's Show were all doubly listed and fixed a couple of links).

I mentioned the DD+ issue in the VUDU thread. Now when isnetflix going fix theirs?

This is really getting ridiculous. All these streaming options on the PS3 and they don't even work right.

Complain to Sony. It's a Sony issue.

Upgraded to a 6MB DSL connection, and now get four dots + letters 'HD' when some films load(never seen before). Does this signify 1080p? I use a Roku XDS box(not PS3), and in any case, on a 65-inch plasma all the Netflix streamed movies look pretty poor, while they're fairly good on a smaller screen. Anyone have any knowledge on what this means?

Pretty sure the roku doesn't do 1080p yet so that would be 720p.

Try The Good The Bad and The Weird. That's my go to title to judge quality since it's one of the best I've seen on the PS3. Of course that doesn't mean it will look great on other devices.
