This will be a nice feature and hopefully Roku 1 owners won't be left out in the cold when the new firmware is released.

I updated the ROKU and the Watchlist is there now.

Also, seasons are now grouped together

I have the Amazon Watchlist on my Roku 2 and my two Roku 1's. It's a great update.

I didn't get an update on my Roku (the last update was 4.7 B2049 loaded on the 14th), but the Watchlist is in the player now, so maybe it doesn't need a firmware upgrade for that. No sign of the Watchlist in the PS3 player yet.

Though it seems to be gathering television series seasons together under a single title, it still seem to think of them as being separate and there's no way to put an entire series onto your watchlist--you can only do it as multiple individual seasons which will show up as multiple titles in the watchlist. Sucks.

When I said "update" I was just referring to the channel and not the Roku firmware. I agree with you that it sucks that we cannot add an entire TV series to the Watchlist without adding each individual season. I sure do appreciate that we at least have a Watchlist at last, hopefully they can refine it a bit as we go forward.

When I went to the update section on my Roku 2 and had it check for an update, it said it updated the Amazon APP.

It probably said channel. For some reason Roku calls the apps, channels.

Either way. It only popped up for a second while it actually updated. If i had not been in front of the Tv I would have missed it since it was so quick.

I could have blinked and it's possible that I auto-updated it before I checked. It doesn't count "channel updates" as firmware upgrades so there'll be no record of it.

I mainly use a pc for my amazon prime viewing. Now since they have finally added their version of a queue, I plan on utilizing it much more.

I use instant watch tracker often to manage my Netflix queue. Does anyone have any suggestions for something similar to use with Amazon?

I use a Sony Blu-ray player to watch Amazon Prime streaming video. I put a few TV shows on a watch list on Amazon's website but can't find a watch list icon on the Sony interface for Prime. Can anyone tell me where to look or is this new feature not yet supported by Sony.

Thanks for any help.

The Watchlist is not supported on your device. At this time the Watchlist is supported on PC, Mac, Xbox 360, Kindle Fire and Roku devices. They've announced that it's coming soon to the PS3 but there has been no word about other devices.

I really hate that.

I really hope they can send out 2.0 surround as Stereo PCM eventually...

The proper setting for sharpness is always0.
Also my Oppo BDP-103D is region free.
That makes me awesome.

Same as Netflix. 1-7 in SD, 8-10 in HD (although S6E1 is 16:9 SD for some reason. The rest are 4:3).

Don't know how long it's been, but I switched back to the PS3 for my streaming device today and there was an Amazon update adding the Watchlist.

I didn't even get an update, as such; it just appeared as one of the selections on the home screen.

I noticed it on the PS3 a little over a week ago, I'm glad to have it on both the PS3 and Roku now.

Just noticed a couple of things.

Back when they added the watch list to the Roku I added a bunch of Prime movies.

Today I noticed:

1: Some now say "Content unavailable, go back".

2: Some are no longer Prime (free).

Guess the lesson is to watch then quickly before they change their minds frown.gif

I guess my intuition was right in deciding to buy Blu-ray box sets of a few of my favorite Amazon Prime series - firefly, Pushing Daisies, and Farscape - on the hunch that thay might disappear from Prime!

Also bought the movies Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Chaplin, which I first watched on Prime.

I've come to regard Prime in part as a way to see if I like something enough to buy it, without the test viewing merely adding to the price of buying it, which is what a rental would do.

Firefly and Farscape are still available for streaming from Netflix.

But my setup - a pre-HDMI receiver connected via optical SPDIF from the discontinued Roku XD|S - can't get surround sound from Netflix, which is why I went with Amazon Prime, which hasn't gone over to Dolby Digital Plus with surround via HDMI-only, which is the situation with Netflix. A hundred dollar streamer, sure. But a new receiver just for Netflix? Nope.

I'm not sure if Farscape is in surround on Amazon Prime, but firefly definitely is. Just watch the opening battle sequence in Serenity Valley in the first episode!

I was prompted to buy a new receiver by Netflix, but I'd been thinking about it for a couple of years (my old receiver was *not* pre-HDMI, but it couldn't handle the higher def and lossless surround formats, DD+, TrueHD, DTS-HD HR and DTS-HD MA). Netflix's use of DD+ was just the final push.

Isn't Farscape mainly SD? I think only the last season may be widescreen, possibly HD.

None of Farscape is in HD on Netflix--the fourth and final season is widescreen.

I never watched it on Netflix. I just noticed that it was available to stream. That is one show I wish I would ahve watched when it aired. I've only seen a few episodes. It's also one of the few DVD sets I still own. But I haven't watched a DVD in many years(well I guess I have watched a couple of anime titles on DVD over the last couple of years but I can handle Anime on DVD, well barely) I'll probably never get around to watching Farscape, but if I do, my first choice will probably be streaming.
