Hello all,

I am sure this has been answered somewhere but i wanted to see if there was any new ideas.

I stream all the movies in my house. I have stayed away from buying BD becasue there has not been a clean way to get everything to stream.

Why is this? I know you can grab the movie or this or that. I know people say that menu support is a licencing issue.

Why can i not stream a whole BD movie from a file server? What is the issue with menu support?

yes i know i could "load" each movie on the file server to an image drive but i like to select the movie from my tv.

Thanks.

You may want to look through this forum. Off the top of my head, the Netgear NTV550, The Dune Players and the Popcorn Hour C-200 will all play full BDs from a file server.

packman,

thanks for getting back to me. Yeah i run TVIX in my house. Are people just creating BD.Iso for the file? I am also wondering about file size. Can you really stream a 30gig file? or are people compressing them down?

thanks

Some use iso files, some folder structure. Since iso is just a container for the folder structure it is just a matter of preference. No problems streaming full-sized BD copies.

Doesn't this really belong in the media streamer forum.
