I'm looking for a 2nd BRP which will stream all 3 of the above captioned services. I currently have a Sony BDP S470 which streams Hulu Plus and Netflix but not Vudu. It may be that the newer Sony BDP S480 will handle all 3 but I'm not sure. Any other suggestions? The new player will be a bedroom unit attached to a Panasonic tv. Panasonic would seem to be a natural fit but I've been unable to tell anything about Panasonic BRP capabilities.

I have the Panny bdp-110, and it offers all three. I assume the rest of the line does as well.

I recently bought the BDP-S380 ($98 clearance at Target), and it supports all 3.

Did you upgrade the firmware, and/or the video apps on the S480?

I have a S380, which is a regular Blu-ray player as opposed to your S480 which is 3D I believe, and it supports Netflix/Hulu Plus/Vudu/YouTube/etc...

The one it does not support YET is CinemaNow, which is coming soon. There is a video app for it already which says, "Coming Soon".

Do the update first, and also your video apps should update as well.

OOPS!!

Just realized you said you had the S470. Sorry. I guess the year older line does not have all three.

If you need a Blu-Ray, the S-380 can be found as an Open Box at Best Buy for around $90+tax. It is not 3D, if that matters.

And Open Box Blu-Ray players are fine. Most were just shelf models, or ones people brought home and back immediately because they wanted to try another model. Good source for cheap products is Open Box on certain things. Except TV's which is my own humbled opinion. Just buy a new one.

Anyway, if the Blu-Ray is not needed, then look to see if you can find an open box on an LG ST-600 smart box. Now it is not a Blu-Ray player at all. But open Box willl go for around $80(new on sale around $90+tax).

It is a great little STB and offers built in WiFi(b/g/n), plus has a plethora or video apps:

NetFlix/Amazon/Hulu Plus/CinemaNow/Vudu/MLB.TV/NBA/NHL GameCenter/YouTube/Pandora/etc...

Actually, the S470 I have was an open box item I bought at Best Buy about a year ago. It lacks only VUDU and the newer S480 has all 3 as well as Cinema Now. Since it will be a bedroom unit, and attached only to a 720p tv, the S380 would work just fine. 3D is not a requirement there.

My Samsung BD-C5500 does all three but lacks built in wifi (if that matters.)

Vudu lists blu ray players with their app installed on their website. If you see a Samsung player listed that also has "web connected apps" than it should also do Netflix and Hulu Plus.

Samsung BD-D6700 does all three, has internal dual band wireless and 2D to 3D conversion. Excellent upscaling for DVDs as well.

Living the HT Dream...now in 4D.

Today I ordered the Sony BDP-S370 from Amazon. Since I am already familiar with the Sony line and since this model does what I want and does not have features I don't need, i.e., 3D and built-in wifi, it was a logical choice. Thanks to everyone for your help!

Careful, I have a sony and a Samsung. Both purchased within a year. The Samsung does captions on Hulu plus, the sony does not.
